at sponsor shop Bike Setup: IF ti Planet X, Dura ace monster. Summary: Solid shoe that fit well right out of the box. Smart ratcheting replacable hardware. Shoe was used for elite cyclocross racing. Lightweight. Strengths: Stiff lower, transfered about as much power as you'd want from a shoe that you could run in. Weaknesses: Almost too stiff for running (cross), I say almost, but not completely. The big problem I have with this shoe is the way the toe cleats are attached to the sole. In my 2003 cross season, I trashed 2 pairs of these. The cleats would pop out of the sole, or come halfway out and be totally crooked. The second time happened at cross nats and my knee was sore from racing/running with one cleat missing. I love the shoe, and the performance it gave me, but this problem is enough for me to look elsewhere. Similar Products Used: Specialized's high-end pair

at Mike Cookson Cycles Favorite Ride: anywhere hilly Bike Setup: Trek 6000 Navigator w.XT, C.King H/set, Rolf Urraccos, slick tyres. Summary: I have the previous model with the 3 x strap closure. This model fine-tunes the fit. Good colour (gunmetal). Its the same sole as last years model with new detailing. Strengths: Closure, build quality, stiffness of the sole, color. Weaknesses: I hate those stud things on the front of the sole. Similar Products Used: Last years model (blue)
