Price Paid:  $2.00 at ebay

Favorite Ride:
to work

Bike Setup:
Custom Singlespeed

Summary:
These shoes are the best for commuting! they are stiff and spd compatable, AND great for walking and all day wear. I usually wear mine without socks and find they are not too stuffy. The shoes are very durable and stand up to all-weather riding. I will definately try and get another pair when these are too worn out to use.

Strengths:
stiff, durable, very comfortable.

Weaknesses:
not very fashionable colors.

Similar Products Used:
none.

Bike Setup:
Lemond Zurich with Ultegra

Summary:
Might be worth a look for casual recreational riding or touring if you routinely need to walk a substantial amount in your road shoes (since the cleat is recessed), and if you can find it deeply discounted. Otherwise, you're better off with an entry level model of one of the Italian shoes or even a house brand like Nashbar or Performance.

Strengths:
Easy to walk in.

Weaknesses:
Mediocre all the way around: mediocre ventilation, mediocre materials and construction, mediocre closure with only two velcro straps that tend to bunch up the tongue if your foot is narrow.

Similar Products Used:
Other shoes: Nashbar, Diadora, Alpinestars
