1999 GIANT TCR2 Summary:
Sidi road shoes need this adapter to use SPD type cleats. They really should redesign their shoes to eliminate the need for an adapter. The cleat is pushed out beyond the recess in the sole, so walking is extremely awkward. Strengths:

Pushes cleat out even further.
