Price Paid:  $75.00 at MEC

Bike Setup:
1999 Giant TCR-2

Summary:
I bought these shoes on closeout at less than half their original price. I own three pairs of Sidi's - these Iron Roads, and two pair of Dominator 4 mtb shoes (which are the equivalent of the Genius series road shoes). The fit is excellent, and after a couple years' use, the Iron Roads are still in great shape. While I like the extra security of buckles on the Dominators while on foot in rough terrain, I don't see the benefit on a road shoe. Three velcro straps are fine.

This is a good entry to intermediate level shoe, and if you get it on sale, is a great value.

Strengths:
Glove-like fit
Quality construction and materials
Good ventilation

Weaknesses:
SPD adapter makes walking awkward in the extreme
