Strengths: Fit, finish, breathabilityWeaknesses: Customer service or lack thereofBottom Line: I purchased the 2008 Sidi Genius 5 Mega brand new at my LBS after reading the great reviews here. I loved the fit and feel of these shoes, they are super comfy. Unfortunately after my first ride one of the cleat nuts striped out. I'm assuming I must have purchased a defective pair. This in and of itself is not so bad, I assumed once I let them know what had happened they would support their product. After two emails and no so much as a response from Sidi I am left holding the bag on a useless pair of shoes. At this point I am just hoping to recoup some money by selling them at a super discounted price.

Strengths: strong, very good fit, secure buckles, stiff, good looking, heels, straps and other parts are changeble(a big plus for sidi)Weaknesses: the plastic sole scratches to easy(dose not affect performance)Bottom Line: I`ve purchased these shoes because i know Sidi makes quality bike shoes, and genius 5, seemed to me as the optimum value to price ratio(i don`t think spending money on a carbon sole model would have made any diffrence). They where a comfortable fit from the first ride, but after almost 1 year they seem much more comfortable

Strengths: - Excellent fit, very comfortable
- Can actually feel ventilation around my toes!
- No flex whatsoever even when stomping
- Very easy to talk in (thanks to the rubber on the heel)
- Buckle and two Velcro straps make for a very secure fit
- Quality construction--should last a long timeWeaknesses: - Not cheap, but you get what you pay for
- Wide feet need a "mega" sizeBottom Line: I bought these shoes due to some fairly bad pain in my feet. When I pushed up my mileage to prepare for my first century, my cheapo, eBay specials just did not cut it. I bought these shoes based on reputation and a great sale at Competitive Cyclist.
To sum it up, these shoes are a revelation--so much more comfortable that I did not realize how much my feet used to hurt every ride until I wore these! I just finished my first long ride with them yesterday, a hilly 80-miler, and my feet were the least of my concerns by far! I have a slightly wide size 10.5 feet, and the size 45's fit very well--snug, but not tight even with Specialized High-Performance footbeds taking up a little extra room inside. All in all, a very worthwhile purchase; I wish I had bought these shoes a long time ago--highly recommended.

Strengths: Comfort, ratchet straps, stiff sole, they offer 1/2 sizesWeaknesses: Sizing! Try them on, because Sidi's run a size larger than others.Bottom Line: Awesome shoe. I didn't think a shoe could make me a better rider, but it has. I am more stable and confident in my abilities because I feel more "connected" to the bike. It is a strange but pleasant suprise. I wish I would have got these sooner

Strengths: Comfort. Look good.Weaknesses: Hard to walk in.Bottom Line: Wow. I read tons of reviews on Sidi shoes before taking the plunge. These shoes are like wearing slippers.
I never imagined they would actually be as comfortable as everyone claimed.
I'm more of a weekend rider, so I can't say how they feel after a century.
They stay on my feet really well. The "ratchet" buckle works great and is easy to adjust, can tighten up and loosen while riding.
I did not get a chance to try these on before purchasing, but Sidi's sizing chart was right on. I wear a 10.5 shoe and the 45's fit perfect.
I have never wore a cycling shoe prior to these and when teh time comes to purchase a new pair, I don't see a need to try anything else.
