Strengths:    3 velco straps.
Enough upper to allow velco closure.

Weaknesses:    Support on the mega shoe is narrow.
Insert is narrow.
Foot tends to roll to outside trashing your knee.

Bottom Line:

Sidi is commonly associated with wide shoes as the offer the mega. These are *not* wide shoes! The plastic base is quite narrow as is the sole insert. Sidi decided to add some material to the upper and call the shoe 'mega'. Ha!
While it is pretty nice to be able to close the velcro straps the fact is the shoes is much too narrow. You can feel the entire line where the sole joins the upper along your foot. Since the plastic base and sole are too narrow your foor will roll of to the outside and your knee will get trashed.
The cycling industry needs to put out wide shoes and mean it. Please build up a seperate platform!

Strengths:    comfort, no "hot spots", cool, great looks.

Weaknesses:    price

Bottom Line:

The Sidi Zeta is expensive but worth it. I got the shoe because of it's compatable with Look or SPD cleats but soon found out they're far more comfortable and breathable than my old shoes as well.

Strengths:    mega width is truly EEE wide, not "W"

Weaknesses:    old technology

Bottom Line:

Only one thing to add to the other reviews: my input is for the Mega width. My size 9 EEEEE feet have finally found a home. This fit was previously available only above $400. It is secure through the heel as well. I can happily live with the low-tech straps and sole given the fit at this price point.

Strengths:    simplicity
craftsmanship
visual design
many same elements as the next shoe up at half the price (if you find them on sale)
sidi makes great shoes
compatible with all pedal systems including SPD

Weaknesses:    a little heavy compared to carbon soles, but a great trainer

Bottom Line:

i also have the ones with the buckle and two velcro straps (forgot the name off hand) for half the price, the zeta has the same sole, heal tab and cup, but different decorative elements of the outter design. i actually like the zetas better visually, yet the performance is very similar. the velcro on the zeta desent have the plastic teeth to keep from disengaging, but the velcro itself is stickier, although the other shoe does have the buckle that allows you to really strap them down with precision, but the buckle adds weight, thus making the zetas lighter.

Strengths:    These shoes are quite comfortable and fit me well. Their lightness allows me to spin faster. Cheaper than the $200-plus Genius 5's.

Weaknesses:    Heel pads don't last long. Velcro straps eventually wear out.

Bottom Line:

Comfortable shoes, well-made and light-weight. Very similar to the Sidi Titan. No buckles, just velcro straps. No leather. I use the shoes with Speedplay X/2 pedals and cleats.
