Strengths:    None, Inexpensive maybe

Weaknesses:    Flex to much poor fit for duck feet.

Bottom Line:
Crap total crap, THe soles flex so bad you feel the ribs in the ball of your feet. I don't weigh but 165 and am not a stomping type rider. I spin and they still suck.

Strengths:    $14 -- can't beat the price. found these in the outlet bin in a box marked size 36, but they were 46! score! comfy, roomy, have held up well so far, no problems. contrary to popular opinion, i find specialized equipment and bikes to be quite well made and rider-oriented for my needs.

Weaknesses:    none so far

Bottom Line:
nice, roomy, comfy, and have taken moderate abuse very well. i got an excellent price, but they are worth (to me) up to around $60.

Strengths:    Better than sneakers

Weaknesses:    Too heavy, I get hot spots on my feet on rides over 3 hours, finish is wearing poorly

Bottom Line:
I bought these shoes because they fit a little better than the too tight Diadora's I used to use. But, after longer term use I regret not spending an extra $50 for some better shoes. These are very heavy, and even though the sole seems very stiff, I get painful hotspots in the balls of my feet on longer rides. I'm shopping for something new

Does anyone know much about these? I am looking to get into road riding. This is more a hybrid but seems more road than anything. How well does the Nexus system hold up? Would this be OK for local group rides? Would a $300 bike from direct bikes be much better? I am on a very slim budget. I also hav ... Read More »

Venge Comp or Venge Pro Race

A couple weeks ago I posted about a demo Venge Comp and got a lot of good feedback which I appreciate. I have since found another LBS that is willing to cut the price and I will be getting the new Venge for the same price as the original LBS wanted for the demo (just like many suggested). Now, how ... Rock, paper, scissors?! '15 Trek Madone 4.3, '15 Felt Z5, '13 Giant Defy comp-1...??

The Trek & Felt have the 105 11 speed drivetrain. The Giant has Ultegra...pretty similar ride and cost between them. Dilemma: I currently use the Trek shop for all things MTB (2 expensive bikes in the past 6 mos. (Purchase--theft--Ins.check--repurchase) but they're not overwhelming me with love... ... Read More »

Got to spend some time with/on a 2014 Allez Comp Smartweld...
