Strengths:    I got these in large. They fit, the chamois works for me, and the sturdier fabric panels are excellent. Stitching and construction are well executed.

Weaknesses:    The thinner fabric panels degrade and become see-through. Now, anybody sitting on my wheel can see my butt crack. That's not ok. In fact, it's kinda gross. I have $50.00 shorts that have much more use on them than these $250.00 (list price) bibs, and they still properly cloak my butt. Giordana--this is a known issue. Fix it. Lame. Won't buy again.

Strengths:    comfort and good graphics

Weaknesses:    A little pricy.

Bottom Line:
I took a chance on these shorts not having any experience with the product. I wanted to see if spending more gets you more comfort. They have a smooth light feel even in the Texas heat. I machine wash and air dry with no problems.

Strengths:    Beautiful design and fit. Good for short to median distance riding (30 - 60 miles)

Weaknesses:    The fabric within few months of riding (I ride only 3 times a week) powderizes and falls off leaving women stocking like see through mesh. The glue on name "Giordana" falls off within 2-3 weeks leaving an imprint behind and your $149 shorts look like $29 shorts. They are not worth even half of the money they cost. I went back to Pearl Izumi and will never buy another Giordana shorts again. The pad is not good enough for a long ride (70 - 90 miles).

Bottom Line:
I've gone through several Giordana bib shorts.I've had the 3 pairs of Tenax and 4 pairs of Laser. Beside being an eye catcher they are not as good as the Biking Magazines promote them to be.

Strengths:    Best part about the Laser Bibs is the pad. Giordana has upgraded their high-end chamois, but it will still keep you comfortable on longer rides. I would also give a thumbs-up to the weight of lycra used -- you know their well-made just from touching them. And you'll be reminded over and over during your ride.

Weaknesses:    I don't really like the mesh full-back of the bibs -- too much coverage for my liking.

Bottom Line:
I'm reviewing the Giordana Laser Bib Shorts. This was the first pair of bibs that I bought that cost more than $100 after being told that I would indeed feel the difference -- especially on longer rides. And the difference was huge. The pad of the Laser's and the compression of the lyrca isn't what you expect of a run-of-the-mill pair of cycling shorts. These puppies have been in my bib short rotation for the past 2 years and they still feel the same way they did when I first purchased them. The pad hasn't bottomed out and the lycra (including the leg grippers) still has the same elastic, form-fitting qualities that you expect (mind you I always air-dry these and don't use the dryer). I would have purchased another pair, but I went up a notch and got the Giordana Form Red Carbon Bib Shorts.

Strengths:    I like the chamois and the compression material in the leg of the short.

Weaknesses:    The way the chamois is join to the shorts need drastic revamping.

Bottom Line:
I own at least 6 pair of these shorts and no matter which style they all suffer from the same problem, the seam that mates the chamois to the short separates within a month of wear.
