at local bike shop Favorite Ride: road Bike Setup: Merlin/Campy Summary: I ride almost daily, and these shorts get used about once/week. Unfortunately, the fabric has worn poorly. It is already beginning to thin and "pill" on the bottom, and has pilled badly around the waist, and I ain't fat. The pad is comfy, but unfortunately the fabric was chosen badly. Strengths: Price, comfy Weaknesses: Durability Similar Products Used: Pearl Izumis, Sugoi, Nashbar

at Freewheelin Bikes in Bike Setup: 2002 Diamondback Master w/ Shimano 105 group. Summary: My LBS recommended these for me as an entry-level short. I have been riding/training 15-20 miles about 5 days per week and I use these a lot. They have held up very well and wash up nicely. They are pretty basic shorts with less padding in the chamois than my other shorts, but I have not noticed any soreness. I think they are a good value. Strengths: relatively low price
