Price Paid:  $112.00 at Rubber Soul, Fresno

Favorite Ride:
Climb to Kaiser, Fresno, CA

Bike Setup:
2008 Orbea Orca, dura ace, mavic ksyrium es, specialized saddle

Summary:
These are the best for the buck if you want to be comfortable. I agree the duration is not like iron, but hey they are not designed for that. How much did you pay for your ride??

Strengths:
Fit, and wicking of the fabric

Weaknesses:
durability

Price Paid:  $100.00 at LBS and Performance

Favorite Ride:
If its outside its AOK

Bike Setup:
Litespeed Siena, DA10, Cinelli Ram Bars, Fizik Aliante.

Summary:
I have many pairs, and make sure one is always ready for training inside or out.
Overall they are outstanding for two main reasons; 1. Durability; The chamois holds up for an incredible amount of time without losing any of its padding. 2. The Chamois; better by a magin than Assos F13 or Sugoi. Better padding and comfort for long rides.

Strengths:
Comfort
Durability

Weaknesses:
Nylon has chaffed unusually, has not happened with others

Similar Products Used:
Assos, Sugoi, Luis Garneau

Price Paid:  $120.00 at Performance

Favorite Ride:
long road

Bike Setup:
Rocky Mountain Element race

Summary:
Very confortable on long ride. The fit is perfect.I use it since two years now. But this short had to be changed two times by the manufacturer. But they have a big problem of durability.

Strengths:
chamois confortable. Good fit.

Weaknesses:
The short had to be changed two times by Pearl Izumi. Good service but the problems repeats: frayed elastic, broken sew. For the price paid, this short is too "fragile" and the don't last very long time(less than one season).Maybe the microsensor tissue had to be review. And note that these short had only been handwashed et hand dry.

Price Paid:  $120.00 at REI

Bike Setup:
Trek 2300

Summary:
These shorts are some of the most comfortable shorts I have tried. The pad provides excellent cushioning and prevents numbness and soreness even after riding all day long. The fabric is thin, cool, wicks sweat well and strong. These shorts fit tighter than most I have tried so you might want to try them on before purchasing. I have a 32" waist and the size medium fits perfect.

Strengths:
Comfortable and keeps you dry on long rides.

Weaknesses:
none

sugoi, performance, baggies

Price Paid:  $120.00 at REI

Favorite Ride:
Fast.

Bike Setup:
Giant OCR3 upgraded with Dura-Ace.

Summary:
Tried these ones for less than a month, they are simply not for me. Fortunatelly REI has a great return warranty and did not lose any money. The shorts are very well made and with the superb filling of the microsensor fabric that's so wicking and breatheable, but I think the PRT chamois is a bit better than the 3D. This new 3D pad feels very thin in the mid-section right where all my 178 pounds fall, the leather is very soft and fresh though.

Strengths:
General fit can't be better and great quality leather to cover the pad.

Weaknesses:
Pad with thinner foam around your mid-section.

Similar Products Used:
PI Microsensor with PRT chamois.
