Price Paid:  $127.00 at www.racelogix.com

Favorite Ride:
Sheridan

Bike Setup:
Cannondale 06 Sprint, Ultegra on the rear and 105's on front and shifters. Mavic Ksyrium SL's

Summary:
Awesome awesome set of shorts. The chamois is super comfortable, great for spending long days hammering in the saddle or for getting up and racing, the chamois moves really well right out of the box. Fabric is really breathable, it may lack a little in terms of compression, but more than makes up for it in comfort, coolness and wicking ability.

Strengths:
- Chamois is top notch, moves really well and still supplies ample padding
- Fabric is incredibly breathable, keeps you cool on really hot days
- Extra wired pocket with loops for your headphone wire
- Durability for its minimal weight

Weaknesses:
- Not as much compression as some other shorts
- A little pricey

Price Paid:  $150.00

Favorite Ride:
Lake Michigan Coast

Bike Setup:
Masi Nouva Strada, 105 gruppo

Summary:
I bought a pair of Sugoi RS Flex bibs and although they are comfortable, they are see through (I followed the size chart). I have worn the Sugoi RS Fles bibs 3 times since purchase and my wife mentioned on a ride that they are see-thru. The have only been hand washed and line dried.

For $150 I guess I'd like a little more coverage for my rear end. I am very disapointed in this purchase. What a waste of $150.

Strengths:
Great comfort, great chamois for a 2 hour ride

Weaknesses:
see-through fabric (rear view) I´m sure motorists enjoyed the view.

Price Paid:  $275.00 at Le Knicks

Bike Setup:
Co-motion Mocha Copilot
Satana Sovereign
Various road, track and mountain bikes

Summary:
I've been using Sugoi clothing for a the last 12 years and have always found it to be comfortable and long lasting. Until now. The RS bibs although they are very comfortable haven't lasted at all.
For the price they cost here I expect more than 12months wear from them. One pair has had the lycra fall apart after 15 months. The other pairs lycra is ok but I have worn holes in the padding. The RS shorts that I bought for my wife have also had the lycrs turn seethough. We have now bought the top of the line Pearl Izumi Bibs which are more comfortable and the fabric seems as though it will last longer as well.

Strengths:
Really comfortable until they feel apart.

Weaknesses:
they fell apart

Similar Products Used:
Pearl izumi
Descente

Price Paid:  $100.00 at LBS

Favorite Ride:
Mt. Baker

Bike Setup:
Several, used with Flite, Aliante and SLR saddles.

Summary:
This review is for the 2005 Sugoi RS Flex bib shorts, Sugoi's top of the line bibs with the latest Formula Flex multi-ply chamois.

These are easily the best bib shorts I have ever had in terms of construction. The stitching is very strong and durable, the Ultrafino lycra is very supportive and they hold up well with repeated washing.

However, I personally find the Formula Flex chamois a little on the thick side. This chamois has 3 different densities of padding under the sit bones. It is too thick in this region and I have found that the chamois actually tips my pelvis forward slightly. Strange but true. It was most noticeable when I was riding a Fizik Aliante saddle. I find I like these shorts much better with a minimally padded saddle like the SLR. Over time the chamois has compressed a little bit so maybe this sensation of being tipped forward has been reduced.

I'm giving them a 4 because they are such well-built shorts, but the chamois is too thick.

Strengths:
Exceptionally well-built shorts. No loose threads or uncomfortble seams. Very durable.

Weaknesses:
The chamois is a little too thick. They are expensive at full retail ($140 US).
