Summary:
I have been rotating 3 bib shorts - Giordana, Assos and Sugoi. All are extremely comfortable in all riding situations.
Since upgrading my saddle to a Selle Italia carbon super lightweight, only the Sugoi has kept my bony butt from bruising. I couldn't get back in the saddle for a week after wearing the giordanas, a little less time for the assos but still. The sugoi bib shorts let me ride my usual 50 milers on saturday and sunday with very little soreness. also gives great leg support.
Yes, you can see through them but how much can you really see - from the top of your crack the the bottom of your jersey, which is minimal. And only when in the riding position - no other time.

Summary:
Review for 2008 RS Bib with Formula FX Chamois.

Best Bib I have used. The chamois is extremely comfortable - I regularly do 250Km per week with 50's 60's and the fortnightly 100 plus being my standard ride. I've tried many brands looking for the 'holy grail' and this one is as close as it gets. Still I'm sure everyone has their own opinion of the perfect chamois. These are mine. They are a little pricey but you get what you pay for and comfort has no price.......

On bibs that need warranty.....
I machine wash my bibs (all of them) in a front loader and line dry them inside and to date I have had none of the failures/dramas that others have had with any brand that I own. Maybe I've been lucky or maybe I treat my investment with the care that they deserve.......

Strengths:
All day comfort.

Weaknesses:
None that I have found - yet

Price Paid:  $90.00 at Campmor (New Jersey)

Favorite Ride:
The one I'm on.

Bike Setup:
2005 SCOTT CR1 Limited/full Record/Specialized Toupe Gel saddle
80s-vintage Raleigh Grand Prix/Shimano group/Bontrager saddle

Summary:
I loved these shorts when I first got them. Comfortable, with lots of support. Great wicking and all the rest. HOWEVER, the pad in the center of the chamois doubled on itself during a wash after only about a year of use, rendering the shorts unwearable. Equally of little value: Sugoi customer service, which has failed to respond to several requests for guarantee/warranty information. The company was recently the subject of a takeover, so that could be the reason why. Still, hard to see how they'd risk customer relationships in a competitive market. (Needless to say, they've lost me.)

Strengths:
Comfort/support

Weaknesses:
Lifespan/customer service

Louis Garneau/Castelli/Endura/Pearl Izumi -- which guarantees its stuff for life, and at these prices, that's all one can ask.

Price Paid:  $127.00 at www.racelogix.com

Favorite Ride:
Sheridan

Bike Setup:
Cannondale 06 Sprint, Ultegra on the rear and 105's on front and shifters. Mavic Ksyrium SL's

Summary:
Awesome awesome set of shorts. The chamois is super comfortable, great for spending long days hammering in the saddle or for getting up and racing, the chamois moves really well right out of the box. Fabric is really breathable, it may lack a little in terms of compression, but more than makes up for it in comfort, coolness and wicking ability.

Strengths:
- Chamois is top notch, moves really well and still supplies ample padding
- Fabric is incredibly breathable, keeps you cool on really hot days
- Extra wired pocket with loops for your headphone wire
- Durability for its minimal weight

Weaknesses:
- Not as much compression as some other shorts
- A little pricey

Price Paid:  $150.00

Favorite Ride:
Lake Michigan Coast

Bike Setup:
Masi Nouva Strada, 105 gruppo

Summary:
I bought a pair of Sugoi RS Flex bibs and although they are comfortable, they are see through (I followed the size chart). I have worn the Sugoi RS Fles bibs 3 times since purchase and my wife mentioned on a ride that they are see-thru. The have only been hand washed and line dried.

For $150 I guess I'd like a little more coverage for my rear end. I am very disapointed in this purchase. What a waste of $150.

Strengths:
Great comfort, great chamois for a 2 hour ride

Weaknesses:
see-through fabric (rear view) I´m sure motorists enjoyed the view.

decente, bellwether
