Price Paid:  $70.00 at We Keep You Cycling

    Bike Setup:
    2004 C'dale CAAD 7 R2000, Ultegra, Ksyrium Elites

    Summary:
Excellent refinement of old and new-school bars. I put up with "ergo" bars for many years, thinking it was my position that made my hands numb. I just can't support myself with my hands angled up in the drops.

All better now: I can keep my brifters up high for a flat, comfortable hood transition while the drops sweep long and horizontal. The drop is relatively compact, allowing a low stack height. Bonus points to 3T for providing an aluminum version of a $275 carbon shape.

    Strengths:
length of drop section, smooth transitions, ability to carry high levers without losing drops, security of metal for controls, price

    Weaknesses:
    no cable grooves

    Similar Products Used:
3T Forgie XL, Bontrager Race Lite

Price Paid:  $0.00 at bike shop

    Bike Setup:
Cervelo orig. Super Prodigy with 3T ARX Team Stem, Deda tape, 2009 SRAM and older Dura Ace mix, Mavic Open Pros, Speedplay X2's, FSA Carbon Pro Crankset, Thomson post,

    Summary:
Got this 44cm bar the same time as the 3T ARX Team stem and it's been working great. I looked all around for a bar with moderate reach and shallow drops and preferred a more classic bend and it had to be affordable. Lots of stiffness when sprinting and climbing. The bends offer really good hand positions. Lightweight, can't remember the measured weight, but it was pretty close to 230 gm if I remember right. I plan on keeping it for a long time.

    Strengths:
Stiff, comfy, lightweight, great looks and value.

    Weaknesses:
Ok it doesn't dampen vibration like a carbon bar does, but it also doesn't break like carbon can if you crash.

    Similar Products Used:
3T Prima 220, Ritchey BioMax, Salsa BellLap, Bontrager VR, FSA's and a few I can't remember.
