Strengths: Great shape for flat ramp to hoods
Easy reach to levers in dropsWeaknesses: I wish the drop was about 10mm deeperBottom Line: These bars are a great option for those of you riding Shimano that like a more swept back, ergo drop design like a Ritchey. I compared specs and this is a very different shape from the Newton. Single groove in bar for brake cable housing keeps the tape smooth. The shallow drop is ok, I have very large hands so I wish the drop was a little deeper - that is the only improvement I would recommend for this product. This bar is optimized for Shimano and I have been able to get a nice flat transition to the hoods yet still have the bottom of the bars exactly parallel to the ground. In short, I get full use of the hoods PLUS a comfortable drop that is at the correct angle. Great product, very satisfied.
