Strengths: Quality, adjustability, lightweight.Weaknesses: Hard to find.Bottom Line: This review is for the ITM Chrono VIP 3, which comes in two separate pieces with much more adjustability. The VIP 3 is super-adjustable, and is super-lightweight with very cool looks. The manufacturing quality is excellent, and comes with very good quality bolts unlike many other aero bars.
While a new user may be deterred by the need to make a lot of adjustments to get the VIP 3 installed, everybody will come to appreciate the adjustability of the VIP 3. If you're the type to continually assess and re-assess your performance and fit for time trialing or triathlon, this is the bar for you!
The VIP 3 is also very light, comparable to the weight-weenies out there. The lightness means that it doesn't change the weight distribution of your road bike much if at all, and doesn't change the handling characteristic of your ride.
The unfortunate truth about this aero bar is that it's hard to find in the market, but I can't recommend it enough. I liked the Syntace C2 because of its quality, and the fact that the bolts it came with didn't strip as easily as other aero bars' bolts, but the Syntace has no adjustability compared to the ITM Chrono VIP 3.
