Strengths: The drop poistion is very usable, even out of the saddle.Weaknesses: the ars open up your cest and you become less aero, if your concerned about that kind of thing.Bottom Line: I put these bars on a Surly Cross Check that I built up for commuting 15 miles to work. I mounted the bars pretty high to make the drops accessible. When out of the saddle the drop position is excellent. I understand these were originally designed for mountain biking. I don't think I would like that but I did do a couple of cyclo-cross races with them and really thought they handled well.
I has come to the point where the traditional road bike feels weird and I am considering expanding the number of bikes this bar is mounted on. I love the bar and couldn't be happier with it.

Strengths: Tough, nolstagic and comfortableWeaknesses: HeavyBottom Line: I bought this handlebar in 1986, has Specialized logo on it. I believed that Specialized produced a Rockhopper with this bar made by WTB. This bar weights a ton but is tough. I had mounted on three or four bikes so far show no signs of wear. Offers multiple hand positions and looks retro( Jackie Phelan).
Favorite Ride: anywhere that are not too steep
