Strengths:    Three year warranty. Large bearing surface. Easy to adjust.

    Bottom Line:
Very nicly machined, easy to adjust, three-year warranty. Caged ball bearings are easy to service. Very very smooth and precise. The bearing races have a larger diameter than the cheap headset it replaced and provide a lot of load bearing surface.

Strengths:    Build quality and ease of maintenance.
    Grease ports in lower race.

Weaknesses:    Top race has no grease ports, also bearings wear out very quickly in top race.

    Bottom Line:
Good finish and ease of servicing.
However, due to the smaller diameter bearings used in the top race the headset needs regular checking.

Did Campy evr have alloy Record 10 shifters?

I am eyeballing a group for sale that claims it is a Record 10 group alloy group. Am I correct in my recollection that Campy has never put out a Record 10 alloy group??? If so, ... Read More »

Old (but new) Campy Record groupset - what should I offer seller?

A former co-worker of mine bought a Campy Record groupset about 7 or 8 years ago for a second bike he was going to build up.
