Strength:

Light weight, firm comfort, looks, holds up well.

Weakness:

Name recognition, who cares? (Some do)

I had the Aireon Touring and liked it. I moved that to my Mountain bike and bought the Race model. Love it. Fits me well. Has held up very well. Looks good too!. Best combination for me with Pace 250 shorts.

Strength:

Leather Covering Titanium rails Moderately light weight at approx 225 grams Comfortable for a 215 lb person.

Weakness:

None.

I was looking for a lighter saddle that what came with my Windsor Kennet. This has got to be the all time bargain in a saddle. I weigh 215lbs and have a slightly larger than average rear. On my first ride my RE was slightly sore the next day. But the next time out I had no pain at all after a slightly longer ride. There was no sagging in the rails and I found the seat comfortable during the ride. Saddles are personal and it is hard to tell without trying them out. Since this saddle is so inexpensive it is definately worth a try. I only gave it an overall rating of 4 because if you are willing to spend $100 or so I'm sure there is a saddle out there that might be better. As far as value I wish I could give it a "10".

This is a great saddle, comfort, weight, price. Thought I would try it since it was only $20. Not much luck with other Saddles. First day rode for 3 hours no pain.

(my review refers to the Aireon Team Race model, not the plain Race saddle as pictured)

I've tried LOTS of saddles, including Koobi, San Marco (Azoto Tri and Era), Saddleco Flow, Coda, Specialized, Serfas, Performance, Nashbar, other Aireons, etc., and this little saddle is currently my personal favorite for general use. The shape fits me better than any of the others, the padding is softer than Specialized and between the Koobi Silver and San Marco Era in softness (despite its minimalist design), it permits a wide range of comfortable positions (even including the full aero position for short time trials), the titanium rails really do absorb vibration from road or trainer, it's nicely made and super light, and it is VERY reasonably priced. Scuff guards on the corners are a nice touch. Highly recommended, though your bottom may differ!
