Strengths:    Absolutely no numbness in the perineum, but you must sit way back on the saddle. The surface of the saddle is very glossy and if you have it set up properly you can slide right into your perfect position. The lycra of your shorts legs slides over the extremely buffed leather very easily, no chafing at all. This is a substantial piece of equipment, unlike the Arionne, which has a flimsy leather cover. I will update after 2 or 3 months on break in.

Weaknesses:    Hard as a rock. I mean, the leather is incredibly stiff. I don't mind it, but I have a tough a$$. Eventually it will break in enough that it will slightly cradle your sit bones but I don't believe it will ever stretch a great deal. That could be good or bad. I knew the leather was sturdier than the softer B17 and was looking for that.

Bottom Line:
I've used the Arionne previously for over 20k miles and like it. Just like the Arionne, the Professional is very flat and its shape is very similiar. It sets up very similiar also except you need to sit further back on the Brooks so the fore aft adjustment may differ. You'll probably have to slide it forward. It should be level which gives the appearance of the nose tilted slightly upwards. It is a beautiful piece of equipment, it's somewhat like purchasing a top level baseball glove. The leather is very thick and very attractive. I got a black one. The thing is hard as a rock but if you slide your sitbones so they are on the widest part of the saddle, it's not an uncomfortable feeling, it's somewhat like sitting on a wooden park bench. The craftsmanship is fantastic on it, and I don't think I'm going to need another saddle for years.
