Price Paid:  $160.00 at trisports.com

Favorite Ride:
Larch Mountain, OR

Bike Setup:
02' Lightspeed Tuscany, Look Carbon Fork, Ultegra Triple 10 Speed groupo, Speedplay X peddles, Nuevation wheels.

Summary:
Decided to buy this saddle after reading some reviews online. I needed a saddle to help relieve numbness. This saddle is great and does the trick. It took some rides to get it broken in. Also the saddles needs to be tilted down a little bit to compensate for the sag on the elastomers.

Strengths:
Looks cool, Comfortable once broken in, absorbes small road bumps because of the elastomers. Well designed and built.

Weaknesses:
Takes some time to get broken in.

Similar Products Used:
Selle Italia Flite Ti, WTB Laser, San Marco Concor

Favorite Ride:
Decker loops

Bike Setup:
originally
2004 Fuji Professional
all durace/ultegra Ritchey wheels
aero components

new set up
2009 Leader frame
with same set up as above

Summary:
fabulous!
A women's saddle as well, and the best i have tried. no more issues in regards to the tender pieces parts, and having to continually shift from 1 seatbone to the other.
After 3 weeks my body adjusted and realized it could use both seatbones, and on Ironman distance that is a blessing! Yes, i gained a couple mph to boot.
Tried many saddles, this does the trick. Sales Rep at Koobi was a great help. I choose it over Adamo as the seat was more of a conventional look with what appeared a regular seat length as compared to Adamo whose seat is very stout in appearance.

Strengths:
well padded but very firm, in otherwords perfect for short and long distance especially in aerobar position, uphills and down. No break in period needed. One can change the hardness of the seat with the additional unique pad inserts they send as well as the ones they insert in the seat depending upon the riders' needs. Fabulous fitting by the representative, personal attention to detail and received it in 2 days. easy to trade out old saddle for new.

Weaknesses:
none to date. the more i ride it the more comfortable and 2nd nature it becomes not to feel any more pain/discomfort. no break in time required

but none tried with the Koobi PRS channel system/design.

Price Paid:  $149.00 at Koobi Website

Favorite Ride:
Long

Bike Setup:
LeMonde Maillot Jaune, with blahblahblah.

Summary:
I have about 600 miles on a Koobi PRS Century and am completely satisfied. I am pretty attached to my old Brooks Professional, but after about 30 miles or so on that old workhorse the numbness became a little concerning. No numbness at all with the Koobi, whose canal seems to keep the blood flowing and everything innervated. Also, the Koobi is the only saddle I have ever used that actually puts me on my ischial tuberosities, even in the drops. This requires some adjustment, but you quickly realize this is where you should have been sitting the whole time (i.e. NOT on your soft tissue). Also, incredible service from Phil and the Gang. Koobi Guys and Gals, my future descendants thank you for their existence. And hopefully you will still be around for them to appreciate your products. Cheers.

Strengths:
Proper ergonomics, high quality manufacturing, and stellar service

Weaknesses:
The price seems steep, but can you really put a price on functional genatalia?

Selle Italia Flite, Brooks Team Professional

Price Paid:  $149.00 at Direct from Koobi

Favorite Ride:
Northern Sonoma County, CA

Bike Setup:
Specialized Roubaix Expert w/ full Ultegra

Summary:
I was looking for an all-day saddle that would be as comfortable at the end of a mile century as it was in the first hour. The Koobi PRS Century fit the bill. The replaceable and tuneable elastomers allow you to set the desired level of firmness. They don't make the saddle "softer" but do reduce the perception of road "buzz." Also the shape eliminates hot spots and the wide center channel keeps the saddle cooler.

Strengths:
Beautifully made.
Good looking.
Not too heavy.
"Clyde friendly."
GREAT customer service.

Weaknesses:
Pricey.

Favorite Ride:
Paved roads

Bike Setup:
Independent Fabrication SSR, Mavic Ksyrium SL wheels, Vittoria Open Corsa EVO CX tires

Summary:
Can't say enough about these saddles! Purchased a Century for my first recent bike after going through several saddles, and was immediately satisfied. Sold that bike with the Century on it and bought an Alpha for my latest bike. These aren't cushy, squishy saddles. So, on one hand, if that's what you're looking for you probably shouldn't consider this saddle, and on the other hand, if that's what you're looking for, it's exactly why you should consider this saddle, as that cushy, squishy saddle may be half your problem.

Strengths:
Well constructed, lightweight, and very comfortable (once your sit bones get acclimated to a firmer saddle).

Weaknesses:
A little pricey compared to others, but you get what you pay for, and with Koobi, you truly do get what you pay for.

Similar Products Used:
Went through these on the way to discovering the Koobi:
Selle San Marco Ponza (stock saddle)Fizik Arione
Selle Aspide
