Summary: I purchased the older design a few years ago, among some others. I generally felt that it, and its kin, were some of the most comfortable saddles I had used. Price scared me off from another for several years, but in that time I invested more money in saddles I hated. I finally bit the bullet and bought 2 when they were on sale (and I had a coupon to boot). Dear lord why did I wait so long. The newer design is even more comfortable that before. The main difference from others is that it is comfy over a wider range of the saddle (most have a limited sweet spot, if any, of comfort whereas this one is ok if you slide up for TT or back a little for hard grinding climbs). It is also light an has a little bit of shock absorbing flex. It is a little stupid to put on my training bike (computrainer) but I can't find anything else as comfy for long rides, so what the heck. The jewels are worth a few extra bucks.
Strengths: Exceedingly comfortable. Saddle has a flat/wide (not too wide) back, yet a narrow nose. Some others (Serfas) have too thick of a nose that causes my legs to chafe.
Weaknesses: Price. But, others are more expensive. Your tukas is worth it (at least mine is).
Similar Products Used: Oh, heavens, name it. Selle Italia Turbomatic 3, and many other SI saddles, Serfas DD Vado (ok), Cosmos (yuk), Stinger (kind of like SLR; fair but very light).

Summary: A very comfy saddle, even on the first ride. I bought mine used for twenty bucks, like new condition. I went on my first ride with it yesterday, a 75-mile road ride (on a CAAD 3 Cannondale, not the smoothest riding bike), and it proved super-comfortable. It passed the post-ride pee test with flying colors, no pain whatsoever. The long (and well-padded)nose allows a lot of fore-and-aft movement and the non-slip fabric keeps you from sliding around inadvertently. Saddles are a matter of personal preference and anatomy, but this one works for me.
Strengths: Comfy, long nose, non-slip fabric.
Weaknesses: A little bit gaudy looking (but it is Italian).

Bike Setup: Custom Reynolds 853, 3t bar and stem, Velocity Deep V rims, conti tyres, 105/Ultegra mix
Summary: Pain in the bum! used it for well over 12 months (approx 6000k/yr)and the seat is as painful now as it was new. Great for racing etc but for anything over 40km then forget it.
Strengths: Looks the part and lasted well.
Weaknesses: Chews up and spits out my tender bits
Similar Products Used: Old Sella Italia Anatomic (great old seat)

Summary: Great saddle. I have the white version and has yet to become marked with wear and dirt (yeah I only have had it a month). Comfortable to me, I still have to adjust my position on the saddle from time to time, but I have had to do that with every saddle I've owned
Strengths: Looks, comfort
Weaknesses: could be a little lighter
