Strength:

Exceedingly comfortable. Saddle has a flat/wide (not too wide) back, yet a narrow nose. Some others (Serfas) have too thick of a nose that causes my legs to chafe.

Weakness:

Price. But, others are more expensive. Your tukas is worth it (at least mine is).

I purchased the older design a few years ago, among some others. I generally felt that it, and its kin, were some of the most comfortable saddles I had used. Price scared me off from another for several years, but in that time I invested more money in saddles I hated. I finally bit the bullet and bought 2 when they were on sale (and I had a coupon to boot). Dear lord why did I wait so long. The newer design is even more comfortable that before. The main difference from others is that it is comfy over a wider range of the saddle (most have a limited sweet spot, if any, of comfort whereas this one is ok if you slide up for TT or back a little for hard grinding climbs). It is also light an has a little bit of shock absorbing flex. It is a little stupid to put on my training bike (computrainer) but I can't find anything else as comfy for long rides, so what the heck. The jewels are worth a few extra bucks.

Looks nice, Didn't break

Weakness:

You will have to use Viagra after riding this saddle too long.

Oh my GOD this thing hurts! I think they should rename it "Selle Italia Non-Surgical Vasectomy"

Strength:

Comfy, long nose, non-slip fabric.

Weakness:

A little bit gaudy looking (but it is Italian).

A very comfy saddle, even on the first ride. I bought mine used for twenty bucks, like new condition. I went on my first ride with it yesterday, a 75-mile road ride (on a CAAD 3 Cannondale, not the smoothest riding bike), and it proved super-comfortable. It passed the post-ride pee test with flying colors, no pain whatsoever. The long (and well-padded)nose allows a lot of fore-and-aft movement and the non-slip fabric keeps you from sliding around inadvertently. Saddles are a matter of personal preference and anatomy, but this one works for me.

Looks the part and lasted well.

Weakness:

Chews up and spits out my tender bits

Pain in the bum! used it for well over 12 months (approx 6000k/yr)and the seat is as painful now as it was new. Great for racing etc but for anything over 40km then forget it.

could be a little lighter

Great saddle. I have the white version and has yet to become marked with wear and dirt (yeah I only have had it a month). Comfortable to me, I still have to adjust my position on the saddle from time to time, but I have had to do that with every saddle I've owned

Looks good.

Weakness:

Painful, even after 5 miles.

This saddle stinks! It's sooo painful it's crazy. I've tried it on my road bike(Cannondale r600) and my Mt. bike(Klien Attitude Race). I need the "love channel" and this doesn't have it. Oh well it can collect dust, then.

Strength:

shape, Ti rails flex nicely, nice platform for spinning, good support (2 main positions fore and aft), sturdy.

Weakness:

stitching (not on the '03 model), some creak.

I started out hating this saddle - I had it on my MTB and it was so painful after 30 min. though it was quite beautiful (hint - I was wearing cheap MTB shorts with a weak chamois). I then bought a road bike with a maxflite gelflow and found the cutouts painful so I put the Gel Flight on it and - voila - I love it! Perhaps it's because I wear a decent pair of Pearl shorts now, or maybe I needed to break it in, but with 2k miles the Ti rails provide great cushion and the shape provides a perfect platform for racing and training. I usually ride 60 miles or less at a time, so it might get me sore on a century, but, hey, for a 210 pound guy the saddle has held up really well. Only problem is the stitching that wears holes in your shorts - am waiting for the new '03 model w/o the raised stitch lettering - it should be perfect. The gel seems kind of gimmicky- but perhaps it does take off some of the road vibration and it looks great, though it has started to creak a bit. Don't pay MSRP - you can get these things for $59 online.

Strength:

It works...? Decent for MTB bikes.

Weakness:

Color wears quick, too much stitching for a road saddle, not an all-around comfy saddle in my opinion.

Fair at best. This is one saddle that FRAME material plays a major role in its comfort. I have used saddles that regardless of frame material, they were perfect (Vetta Anatomic and Avocet Air 40 my 2 favs). This saddle worked well on my titanium ride, but it was nothing noteworthy on metal matrix, aluminum, carbon, or cro-moly. Even centuries were fairly blah with this saddle. I picked up 4 (each color less black) to try and now they are either on my MTB rides or the shelf.

Wide base to move around on - good for sit bones

Gel just adds weight and makes numbness an even bigger probem, stitching eats shorts like candy.

Gel is a gimmick, get the regular flite

The gel is barely noticeable for comfort. The coloring wears quickly.
