Strengths:    Perfect shape = endless comfort

Weaknesses:    Could use some scuff guards.

    Bottom Line:
I have tried every saddle known to man and this is buy far the most comfortable saddle I have ever had, and I had plenty.
It all comes down to one fundemental issue and that is saddle shape, this is perfect. If you are the type of rider who finds the flight saddle to wide or generally most saddle to wide you will probably like this saddle. The century has been discontinued but the new design is called C2, which is pretty much the same saddle. This will be the only saddle that I will be buying in the future.

Strengths:    light weight, sime-comfort for loooooong rides.

Weaknesses:    poor customer service and poor quality of mateials (the rails). Also too much $$$

    Bottom Line:
At first this was a great sadle for my bod. It had some great qualities but was short lived. I did weigh it and it was 225 grms. on a scale that mesured down to .005 lbs. Conture was sleek and easy to mount. How ever, the left rail did fatigue, broke in two, and fell out while I was on another century in Kerville, Tx. This left me with 2 options: 1)sag back in, 2) ride standing up. I chose the later for the remaining 45 miles so I could still finnish my workout. After concacting Sella Italia, They said they could not repair the rail because of the way it was constructed when the sadle was assembled. They said I would have to buy a new one. I would think that a company with such prestigue would be more customer oreinted and replace the sadle at no charge due to material failure!

    Strengths:    Aesthetics

    Bottom Line:
The cushioning system on the saddle is decent at best. The shock absorber at the end of the rail had developed a crack along the adhesives. The century has a really narrow and pointed front, which causes some discomfort. I not sure if it's the saddle or me wearing underwear under my shorts, I constantly get cut in the area.
