Strengths: Most comfortable all-day saddle I've ever ridden; my butt is no longer the limiting factor. Its also light compared to other similarly padded saddles.Weaknesses: Heavier than the newer minimalist saddles hiting the peleton, on occasion I notice where the rails hook into the back of the saddle rattle around on the elastomer a bit.Bottom Line: I think its all about personal preference, everyone has different "sit bones" and will better fit different saddles. If you happen to fit the ERA (which it seems many people do) you are in luck.

Strengths: Comfort, looks, pro credibility.Weaknesses: Stains shorts whatever color the saddle is.( at least my red one did this) My expensive team bibs were stained red right through to the chamoix.Bottom Line: Great looking and comfortable saddle. 5 hour rides no problem. A little slippery for the 1st couple months but once the "sheen" wears off you can can ride toward the nose on long, steep climbs if you need to. This saddle is used by riders on division 1 teams in the peleton - they can use anything they want and I notice more are choosing this saddle these days. And that says something about this saddle! Its not a matter of fasion or being a "poser" - those guys' careers depend on them having their bikes set up perfectly !
There is one requirement for anyone who wants to buy this saddle - you don't ride with light color shorts ! My saddle is red and it ruined my most expensive pair of pro team bib shorts by staining the bottom red! If you have shorts that match the color of the saddle or black, no problem, but if not, prepare to have a matching stain where the sun don't shine.

Strengths: Comfortable (no numbness), well made, light and good looks.Weaknesses: None yetBottom Line: Great Saddle. I got this ERA FX 03' form the distributor due to a warranty issue with another product. I had a feeling this saddle would be comfortable due to the special section in the nose of the saddle. I have been on some rides that approached three hours and still no problem. The saddle shape allows you to move front to back freely without causing you to be stuck in one spot like some others. I thought my trusty san Marco Squadra was the one and only but this one is better. The ERA is narrower than the Squadra and I thought it would be a problem with me being a bigger guy with wide sit bones and all, but this wasn't the case at all! Give this saddle a try if your having any comfort issues with the one your riding now.

Strengths: Fairly light, comfortable, has held up good so far.Weaknesses: A little on the spendy side, but not terribly so.Bottom Line: First off this is actually a San Marco Saddle not a Selle Italia as RBR listed it. Either way its been a good saddle and I have no complaints, I've done several long rides on it and personaly find it very comfortable. But, I used to work in a shop and one thing I learned about saddles is it all comes down to personal preference, so I would recomend trying one first. Quick note this is one item I would really recomend going through a local shop on and not mail order. Most shops will work with you if you don't like the saddle. At the shop I worked at as long as the saddle wasn't torn up we would give the purchase price towards a different saddle then keep the old one as a demo.

Strengths: Great comfort in a narrow profile saddle.Weaknesses: None, so far.Bottom Line: This model, the ERA K w/ manganese rails is the same as the ERA Pro save cosmetic differences. Visually, does not look at all comfortable but the forgiving moulded nose section is very male friendly. Has proven to be a good century saddle. Caveat would be that you get along with narrow profile saddles.
Favorite Ride: Any, when it's cool.
