what difference does it make

Summary:
This review is for the FLYTE Ti seatpost as Airborne is now a Euro company and Flyte is basically the American sister. This seatpost is a mockery to all things useful and functional. The design of the clamping area is absolutely flawed. It does not fit many saddle rails; and if it did fit you still would not be able to fit the upper clamp into the slotted post because there would no longer be enough room. Effectively this is a useless post that should not be allowed to be sold on the market.

Strengths:
NONE

Weaknesses:
Clamping area does not fot sadlle rails or its own slotted post area.

Sharp edges in clamping area

Image on website is not the same as real life. (There are no Flyte logos)

Price Paid:  $45.00 at Airborne.net

Favorite Ride:
Tour De Kitsap Route

Bike Setup:
Giant OCR Composite 2, Neuvation wheels, Ultegra brakes, FSA OS115 stem.

Summary:
The post is very comfortable and nicely finished. The post is also very adjustable, as opposed to my last post (the stock Giant cf post). I have had the post work loose once, as mentioned by a previous poster, but the issue seems to have been an isolated one.

Strengths:
Great price, nice look, comfortable and adjustable.

Weaknesses:
None, thus far.

Similar Products Used:
Giant, Shimano, Campy, Thomson, others.

Price Paid:  $100.00 at LBS

Favorite Ride:
Rockies

Bike Setup:
TCR Zero, DA, Ksyrium SSC SL's

Summary:
Great post. Superior to the carbon post that came on the bike. Whether it's the Ti or the shape (slight bend) that makes it absorb shock, I don't know. Much more comfortable on the poor roads I ride.

Strengths:
Comfort. Good looks.

Weaknesses:
Price...though comparable to other Ti posts.

Bike Setup:
Airborne valkyrie

Summary:
This seat post simply does not adjust tight enough to hold the saddle in position. The design is tradgically flawed. At least Airborne took it back from me although it takes months to get your credit back on your card.

Strengths:
Comes from a good company

Weaknesses:
It's worthless if it doesn't hold position
