Price Paid:  $225.00 at LBS

Favorite Ride:
620, bee caves

Bike Setup:
Litespeed Ultimate, Reynolds DV46C wheels, Reynolds UL fork, Dura Ace setup.

Summary:
I have had it for 1000 miles now and have not had a problem with this (I was in two minds if I should buy this after reading about breaks in previous posts..but decided to buy it anyway). I weigh 145lbs....works great for me. No problems at all.

Strengths:
Strong and looks good. Seat angle adjustment is great. Again in 1000 miles - haven't had any problems. No slips. I just don't torque the bolts to the maximum - seat collar is supposed to be 60-70 - I keep it at 60. For the seat itself, I just tighten it just enough - didn't use torque as the angle is awkward - but again - no slips here. Also when torquing, take turns to torque all bolts uniformly - don't torque one bolt to specified torque and then the next etc - this will cause breakage.

Weaknesses:
none so far in 1000 miles.

Similar Products Used:
EC70, Thomson seatposts.

Price Paid:  $230.00 at LBS

Favorite Ride:
Any Ride Hot

Bike Setup:
Steel with Ultegra

Summary:
Bought the post 11 months ago and had it crack at the collar just las week. Other than that is was a great stem.

Strengths:
Cool looking, zero setback (obviously), the crack wasn't a critical failure so I was able to get to work. Easton has great warranty.

Weaknesses:
Other than the crack and it's pricey.

Similar Products Used:
Thompson now, Bontrager Select before.

Favorite Ride:
Anytime I'm on my bike...

Bike Setup:
Litespeed Vortex, Shimano DA and Spinergy Xaero Lite wheels

Summary:
This was a 31.6mm post.

Cracked in the RAD area after only a few rides. And I used my torque wrench to install it to Easton spec's. But, Easton or Veltec did warranty it(great customer service). Although, I switched to a Thomson Elite because I don't want to risk it again.

Strengths:
Looks nice.

Weaknesses:
Wall thickness of the Carbon.

Similar Products Used:
Easton EC70 and Thomson Elite
