at LBS Favorite Ride: any with hill Bike Setup: poser catcher Summary: I have nothing but good to say about this seatpost. Was going to buy the ec90 but kept reading about the carbon clamp breaking down under heavier riders...Decided to go with this as I weigh 185. Could not be happier. The clamping mechanism works very well and allows any angle of adjustment I need. The seatpost does not slip for me at all as a previous reviewer complained of. Works perfect. Very light after I chopped it down :) Strengths: Matches my other easton bits. Light. Strong. Weaknesses: Have not ran into any yet other than the obvious one of price...you are definitely paying a premium here for relatively little impact on your ride. Similar Products Used: USE Alien, Specialized S Works, Cannondale C2, etc..

at ebay Bike Setup: ted wojcik w/ nixon superintrinsic- I really need a setback post for this setup. Summary: Never had the problem of falling into the tube. It seems like easton overbuilt the aluminum top cap to bump the weight to discriminate from the ec90, which irritates me a little. But, I guess that is how we get the opportunity to buy this caliber of post for considerably less than the ec90. Overall this thing is strong and light. Absorbs shock. Finish sucks but can't take off points for cosmetics. Expensive, but thats the price a weight weenie must pay. Strengths: weight Weaknesses: cost Similar Products Used: junk

at LBS Bike Setup: Lapierre Xlite 990 Summary: I bought this post and used it on 4 rides of about 25 miles each. The first ride, I installed it and tightened it by hand (no torque wrench). By 8 miles into the ride the post had slipped all the way down into the seat tube. The next day, I had a bike fitting and the fitter tightened the seat post - went for a ride and 10 miles in, the post slipped all the way down again. Bought a torque wrench, tightened to specified torque. This time it didn't slip as fast - only slipped 2 cm after 25 miles. Same thing on fourth ride. No grease in my seat tube (as recommended) and the bike shop even tried once. I'm now using a FSA seat tube that works perfect. Strengths: Weight Weaknesses: Can't get it to stay put. Slips very easily. Similar Products Used: FSA, Thompson
