Strengths:    Super light weight and attractive. Strong and very damp unlike aluminum

Weaknesses:    Naturally not as bomb proof as aluminum.

Bottom Line:
I use a quick release clamp on this seatpost and usually move it up and down three times a ride. It never slips. It is the best seatpost I have ever used. Smoothes out the small chatter with it's dampening ability. Did I mentions how light it is? Very light. Buy it if you can find it on sale.

Strengths:    Light, absorbs vibration and looks great

Weaknesses:    Got to tighten it per spec or it breaks. Not normal

Bottom Line:
This is a very light post and absorbs bumps and looks great. Big problem is if you do not tighten the saddle per spec it will break. First one I got I tightened similar to other seats and it slipped. Unlike other posts once the seat slips it breaks. The spec says to tighten the seat to 100 foot pounds vs say for a richey post which is 50 foot pounds. So if you get it, use carbon grease and tighten the saddle really hard. Get a torque wrench and it will serve you well.

Strengths:    Good looking
Light weight
Works well

Weaknesses:    None, if you can afford it.

Bottom Line:
Just got this last week and already I've taken this seatpost through some really rough roads, a race, and up into the mountains here. It is great. It does everything it is supposed to and nothing it shouldn't.

I'm wondering if the people who have slipping / cracking issues with this are tightening to the proper torque. I used a torque wrench to adjust the bolts to just the right tightness. I also used some carbon assembly grease to help improve grip. *You can't use normal grease on a seatpost like this* I've noticed no slipping issues either in the collar or the seat clamp area. The post remains exactly as it was when I put it together. I'm happy with it.

Strengths:    Weight, looks, fore/aft range.

Weaknesses:    I am not able to secure the saddle. The seat slides on the clamp. After a one hour ride the seat is one inch further back than when I started. This causes me back pain and foot pain. These posts should be recalled. If I can fix it, the post would be a solid 4 - but I should have bought a thompson.

Bottom Line:
The post is very light and strong. I have the 31.6 version.

As you would expect from Carbon, it really smooths out the ride.

The clamp head is very poorly finished. It has a lot of uncleaned flashing from the die. This is very poor quality control and might be a cause of the problem I am having.
