Strengths:    Weight, looks, subtle vibration transfer.

    Weaknesses:    durability, adjustment system.

    Bottom Line:
Sel Cof Karbon (yes... with a 'K') Monocoque 29.4mm Seatpost.

This may be outside of intended operation, but is still an issue. I'm 150 lbs for reference.
Training for CX season, went to do a running re-mount of the bike, keeping things smooth, landed on saddle , I have a sharpened spear of carbon trying to jab me from below.
The 'Front Adjustment Bolt' that is anchored in carbon pulled a flap of the knuckle off and allowed the seat to cantilever backward, spilling me toward the back wheel and my chest toward the newly revealed spear.

Note: Seatpost & saddle have never crashed. Used for less than 1 month.

Strengths:    Finish. Great looking seatpost and smooth ride

    Weaknesses:    None

    Bottom Line:
As opposed to other reviews this product, the MC03 Carbon Monoque is great. Easy to install, well finished and rides well after 5000km. Very happy

    Strengths:    Carbon

Weaknesses:    Clamp set up, weak seat post

    Bottom Line:
Worst seat post ever. BUY something heavier as long as it works. While installing the seat post the head clamp snapped on me. Oh yeah and you will need special tools to install the seat post also, just hope that nothing goes wrong while you are out riding.

Strengths:    Alluminum reenforced post. good idea.

Weaknesses:    BEHOLD: the dumbest idea in the history of seatposts! The adjustment bolt at the front of the seatpost differs from the one at the rear in that it requires a wrench to adjust it...A wrench far narrower than the average person would have. Should I have to purchase a special super-skinny wrench to use with my super-not-so-cool seatpost? The bolt is also too long. Long enough so that as your saddle dampens the two make contact thus causing the bolt to dig a whole into the saddle from beneath. This causes a rigidity in the saddle and leads to extreme discomfort. I sawed off approximately .5cm of the bolt and still feel the saddle making contact with the bolt from time to time. The bolt does not allow me to drop the saddle nose enough to really level my particular saddle off. I do not blame this particular saddle because I have switched saddles and still had the same problem.

    Bottom Line:
Selcof Premium CNC. I've ridden this thing for about 10 months now. I went from an FSA K-Force Lite to the Selcof. I only switched because I needed a longer seatpost and my shop did not have the longer FSA onhand so I settled for the Selcof. I would absolutely NOT recommend this seatpost (or any one with similar attributes) to any other person on a bicycle.
