Strengths:    Mindless shifting. Smooth. Very precise. Shift equally well from both being on the hoods and in the drops. Carbon feels great on the hands; feels sort of like wood, in a good way.

Weaknesses:    The upshift buttons get a little sticky after two years of hard use. I actually had to lubricate them.

RD is a little touchy, however. But that's another part. :-)

    Bottom Line:
Best shifting I've ever experienced. I like the fact that the brake levers don't ride inward with a shift, a'la Shimano. LOVE the upshift buttons on the inside.

Did Campy evr have alloy Record 10 shifters?

I see a lot of Chorus 10 alloy groups on bikes but have never seen Record 10 alloy. I've seen Record 9 alloy but not 10. I am eyeballing a group for sale that claims it is a Record 10 group alloy group. Am I correct in my recollection that Campy has never put out a Record 10 alloy group??? If so, ... Read More »

Old (but new) Campy Record groupset - what should I offer seller?

A former co-worker of mine bought a Campy Record groupset about 7 or 8 years ago for a second bike he was going to build up. Since his riding diminished to once a week, he never built up the bike. All I know is it's 10 speed Record and it's new in the box - there is some carbon (shifters and rear ... Read More »
