Strengths: Smooth action.Weaknesses: Can 'bite' you if your not paying attention to position of thumb.Bottom Line: These came with my new bike which I bought not long ago. They have a smooth action & work well. The only thing I don't like about them are the fact that you cant keep your hands up high on them or you can't use your breaks as the unit opens up like a pair of pliers. Even when you have your hands down lower when you let go the brakes you can still find that the shifter has clamped down on your glove or worst yet the skin of your thumb.
