Strengths: sleak look,index shifting to the millasecond and of course always returning to center...also SRAM/ZIPP Warranty Tech...they are very good about making sure your product works or is replaced
Weaknesses: Ratchet system needs tweeking...stronger teeth...willing to sacrifice aliitle weight for heavier stronger teeth
Bottom Line:
A great looking shifter..concept is very easy to learn and saves major time from the TT900..when shifting I hate to bend my wrist fumbling to get in the right index when in the cockpit....that being said...the ratchet system is very fragile...if not intalled properly ..the teeth get misaligned and eventually strip...leaving you with no transmission..this is my second pair that has done that...SRAM/ZIPP needs to be proactive in communication with LBS's about proper installation...with the nearly $400 price tag you would expect you'd get top knotch product
