    Strengths:    Stiff and no creaking.

Aggressive angle when it's flipped down.

Weaknesses:    A little heavy, but no big deal since it's stiff and quiet. I'd give it a 5 if it had the strength of a Thompson. Nothing else is like a Thompson. Thompson is the best.

    Bottom Line:
Stiff and no creaking. 17/73 degree angle is aggressive when flipped down.

    Strengths:    Stiff, good looks

Weaknesses:    If anything it would be weight, but Bontrager makes a lighter version.

    Bottom Line:
This stem is nice and stiff and looks good too. Even in the hardest sprint it seems too stay solid, no squeaks or clicks. Could probably be a little lighter, but I will glady sacrifice a few grams for security and peace of mind that it is not going to break on me.

Aksium Race to Vuelta Corsa Lite-- Upgrade?

My stock wheels are Mavic Aksium Race (2011) and I am considering the Vuelta Corsa Lite from Nashbar. The Aksium's have been problem free and reliable. Anyone make a similar switch who can comment whether this is a worthwhile move? Mostly ride rolling hills.Read More »
