Strengths: Classic style
Weaknesses: Premature failure. Three of these stems cracked across the face of the handlebar clamping areas. Two of my friends also had cracks. If you have one of these stems on your bike check it carefully. A stem failure can be fatal.
Bottom Line:
Do not buy this stem and if you have one on your bike consider replacing it.
nothing fancy here, just a plain old forged aluminum stem. the finish is pretty dull compared to 3t or cinelli models (i mean the polished one, not the painted black one--painted black stem? why???). but, you can usually get this pretty cheap, so at least you ain't payin' much for it.
