Price Paid:  $0.00 at B&B Kirk's - Muncie,

Favorite Ride:
Grandview

Bike Setup:
Leader 715R/105/Shimano R540 wheels/Selle Italia/Profile BRC/TTT/ITM/Look PP396

Summary:
This stem was the right price and length, so I took it. after a year or so on it, I havent had any problems...I haven't noticed flex like some of the other reviewers, but then again I ride a tank, and none of it even thinks about flexing.

Looks pretty good, and the big ITM have actually given me some Euro cred...someone actuallt commented on it oddly enough...

Strengths:
Looks good, free, not flexy, free...

Weaknesses:
Extra heavy. paired with my Profile BRC fork and 3TTT Forma bars, the front of my bike weights 10 lbs.

Similar Products Used:
Titec Knucklehead DH(long story) generic crappy stem that was ablout 6" long(cheap OEM), ITM quill stem.

Price Paid:  $0.00

Favorite Ride:
Fast recreational road biking

Bike Setup:
TREK 2200 with campy.

Summary:
WARNING: This stem split completely apart at the weld after only a year and a half. As I started down a hill, I suddenly found my handlebars dangling in mid-air as I did a summersault over the bike. This kind of part failure could be fatal.

Strengths:
None.

Weaknesses:
Weld failed. See summary.

Price Paid:  $80.00 at Noosa Bikeshop

Favorite Ride:
any hard one

Bike Setup:
46cm ITM millenium handlebars

Summary:
Spend more money and get a stiffer one; The weight of this part is irrelevant if it affects rigidity. I found the syncros fantastic, and even at 140mm is still stiff and feels rocksolid. The bolts of the ITM thread and corrode too easily.

Strengths:
Looks good, with decent anodised surface. Reasonably priced

Weaknesses:
Gets very flexy after a few months. No good for sprinting

Similar Products Used:
syncros, cinelli

Price Paid:  $32.00 at Excel

Favorite Ride:
Windatback

Bike Setup:
Campy, Bianchi. .

Summary:
This stem should have a disclaimer to NOT use with a carbon steerer tube. I broke one using it, and after searching some newsgroups I see quite a few number of people had. I'm not a "ham-fist," and use a torque wrench. Reynolds recommends against this type of setup as well.

Strengths:
Strength

Weaknesses:
Don't dream of throwing this stem on a carbon steerer tubed fork. You may get lucky once. ..

Price Paid:  $50.00 at lifecycle

Favorite Ride:
Any withuot traffic

Bike Setup:
Ti Sports with full Dura Ace 8 spd

Summary:
This stem seems like a good option however after a while they loose thier ridgity and become quite flexible.
This is a worrying problem, considering that i am not a particuarly heavy rider at 69kgs. I know of a friend who had one that snapped under normal use.
Not worth the risk, spend more money and get something better.

Strengths:
Cheap, good finish

Weaknesses:
Bolts prone to rusting, poor stiffness

Similar Products Used:
Cinelli
