Strengths: See above. A nice scale to easy remember a stem hight.Resonable stiffness/flexibility ratio. I think also, it may be a good choice for a rec riders. Stem was used by some racers at the 1999 - 2000 in TDF.Weaknesses: May be weight. But not for me.
Plastic Cap is soft.Bottom Line: Good stem. Nice, attractive design. If you prefer a classic seat position on your bike (with a bar drop about a 50 - 70 mm from the saddle level), this stem may be for you.
I'm 44 years old with about a 185 lbs and have not any problems during a spurt even on a hard concrete Russian roads with a 120 psi in tyres. A little flexibility is a part of design and protect your hands from vibration at the long time riding.
