Strengths:    Forgiving and trust worthy.

Weaknesses:    price if bought new.

Bottom Line:

Well doesn't forged say enough. This piece was crafted from high grade Taiwan carbon(which is sadly some of the best), but it is string and forgiving in the long hall. It is aesthetically phenaminal, and has the perfect rise and has the stretch of a block stem with the flex and forgivingness of a highly engineered carbon stem. The only real competition stem is the race xxx lite, but hey that thing is a bit cheesy with the tacky Chinese chrome plate.

Strengths:    Cool looks

Weaknesses:    You could die!....maybe

Bottom Line:

Sure it looks cool, but on during my ride this morning the faceplate crack while pedaling at +20 mph. Luckily the plate only cracked on one side but still - the bars immediately slipped out from under me. After a call to specialized I found out there is a recall on the faceplate:

I love Specialized bikes but have had numerous problems with their tires, shoes and now stem.

Strengths:    Stiff, and awesome looking, light too!

Weaknesses:    MSRP is high and some clear coat lifted.

Bottom Line:

Picked up the stem to match my S works frame, it rides well and does it's job perfect! All that aside I get lots of compliments as it is a pretty snazzy looking stem!
