Strengths: For such a long stem, it's surprisingly light to begin with. The bar interface on the stem side is actually a 200 degree arc, so it "grabs" onto the bars even before you tighten the plates, a very nice touch. The added strength comes from the steerer clamp being the same diameter as the rest of the body; so this requires a sleeve to fit 1-1/8" steerer tubes, which is supplied, also a nice touch.Weaknesses: It is 5mm longer than marked, or this company measures the length along the positive rise, which is shorter. I wish they would tell people these things.Bottom Line: Excellent engineering, super lightweight quality no-nonsense stem; typical German engineering.
