Rotor 3D Road Cranksets

DESCRIPTION

The Rotor 3D plus road crank is so stiff and spins so smoothly that you'll be thinking about buying bigger chainrings for your bike. Rotor's top-of-the-line stiffness comes at a minimal weight, compliments of a unique drilling process, which removes material from the inside of the crank arm.

Strength:

Light weight, stiff

Weakness:

Press fit BB86-30 unreliable and expensive to replace. Chain ring spacing requires trimming at the extremes. Retro look.

Rotor 3DF crank, chainrings, and BB86-30 were OEM on my 2013 Fuji Gran Fondo 1.5C, The crank is stiff and shifting (mated with Ultegra) is clean. The chain ring spacing compels trimming to avoid chatter half way through the rear cassette.

However, unless can use with an alternative manufacturer's BB, AVOID. Rotor press fit BB86-30 bearings failed within 23 months and 4,000 miles. Bike never ridden in wet conditions or off paved road. Rotor does not warrant their BB's and was not willing to do anything for me. Replacement parts are expensive compared to other manufacturers.
