Strengths:    This is the top of the line campy bottom bracket. The Italians are known for their best bearing surfaces and high quality of finish.

Weaknesses:    The cost. For significantly less money, you can obtain a slightly less comprable component.

Bottom Line:   
If you can afford it, go for it.

Using Nuovo record on 8 speed

I wonder how a nuovo record derailleur would respond to an 8 speed shifter. Does the lateral translation of the derailleur correspond to the one given by an 8 speed derailleur, i.e. 5mm shift?
