An elegant and perfect mainstay of the Record track gruppo is the cartridge bottom bracket. The spindle is, in fact, oversized within the shell, and tapers down to accommodate a Record track crankset. This oversized spindle gives the Record BB excellent rigidity and lightness. A carbon fiber cartridge holds the spindle in place against extraordinarily high quality bearings. This is a sealed system, so it will never require maintenance. 111mm wide spindle. Available in both English (68mm) and Italian (70mm) threads. Please note that this is for track crankset use only. It is not compatible with the pre-Ultra Torque Record road square-taper crankset. The road version requires a 102mm BB. The actual weight of the Campagnolo Record Track Cartridge Bottom Bracket is 225g.
