Strengths: Very smooth shifting, quiet.Weaknesses: None really so far, except maybe cost when not on sale. A campy made connex-type link would be nice.Bottom Line: Thought I'd post a newer review. I've used this chain on my Campy Record 10(Centaur Cassette)gruppo since last spring. This is the best performing chain I've used. I've put put about 1300 miles on the chain so far and it's holding up well. I'm going to try chorus next since the only diff is no holes in the side plates. I use a quick connect link instead of the Campy supplied master link thingy.

Strengths: Campy quality all the wayWeaknesses: noneBottom Line: I totally disagree with all the reviews. I have never ever had a problem with this chain or any other chain for as long as I have been riding. These people sound like they need to do some chain cleaning. I have well over 6,000 mi on this chain and it has not stretched at all.

Strengths: It does what a chain is supposed to do until it decides to siesta.Weaknesses: Who needs a wierd interchangeable link?Bottom Line: On a long and rainy century ride, the "Perma Link" became non-permanent. The only tool the SAG didn't have was a permalink installation tool.
I rode back home in the back of a pick-up. I use a Wipperman chain now.

Strengths: A bit more durable than the Shimano 10 and gets about twice the milage.Weaknesses: A bit wider than the Shimano 10s chain, and because of this the shifting is not as crisp. The link joint setup is totally annoying and a pain to use.If you like to remove your chain often to clean it then its not practical at all.Bottom Line: This review is for the recent version of the Campy C10 chain, this chain works well and gives about 2300 miles of life before it starts getting noisy and by then its on its last legs. While the chain was not stretched that badly at this milage, i found that the rollers were getting very sloppy on the chain.

Strengths: When the chains are new, 10 speed shifts great and the rest of the group makes up for the chain and the expensive chain tool that is needed. I started with Campy Nuovo Record back in the 80's, switched to Shimano, and now I'm back to Campagnolo and loving it. I have no complaints about Shimano but everyone seems to have it these days and Campy components look so elegant and timeless in comparison. OK, OK, at my age, I've got more money to spend too.Weaknesses: Campy eliminated the apparently weaker perma link chain and now that tool is an attractive but useless clamp in my toolbox. I was so irritated, I tried the Wipperman 10 speed chain as an alternative. It wouldn't shift down to the granny on my Record 10 speed triple - although it seemed to work OK for a double. Since the price of Wipperman chains aren't really any better, I bit the bullet and bought the new Campy pin connector chain tool and stayed with Campy chains. I've been through 4 chains so far and none have broken. I am under 150 lbs however.Bottom Line: I've been using the Campy 10 speed drive train since 2001, so I started with the perma link and bought the special chain tool. I typically clean and lube the chain about every 100 miles and have never had a chain break on me. Now I'm using the redesigned chain with the hollow connecting pin. I seem to get around 2,500 miles on these chains before they start clicking (perma link) or squeaking (chain pin link). So now I accept this noise as the wear indicator and replace the chain. 2,500 miles for a chain is acceptable. Back when I was using 7 speed, I'd get double the mileage, but then the cogs would wear. These chains are thinner and need more maintenance than older drive trains, but I'll gladly accept that so I can slap on a 13-29 cluster to tackle the Markleeville Death Ride and still have no gaps in the gear inches - that sure beats the days of 7 speed clusters when you had to struggle to setup a cluster with a bail-out gear and still keep decent gearing for the flats - and yes I am over 50 so I'm not as strong as I once was.
