Price Paid:  $30.00

Favorite Ride:
Squaw PAss

Bike Setup:
Kestrel Evoke / Dura Ace

Summary:
I thought the price was appealing, so I gave it a shot when my shop rain out of 10S1s. I had the same experience as others here. It will not work on an 11 tooth cog (the quick link is the culprit). It needs tons of maintenance, I had to scrub it with degreaser and a toothbrush every 200 miles, and then use an oddball oil lube that made a big mess. I'll go back to the Wipperman 10S1 and T9 lube and never look back.

Strengths:
Price
Quick removal link for easy maintenance.

Weaknesses:
Squeaky
Needs constant maintenance
Quick link WILL NOT run across an 11 tooth cog without tripping
Will not work with parrafin lubes, making it a greasy mess.

Price Paid:  $0.00

Bike Setup:
Ultegra 11/23 Cassette
Ult. 6600 R Der.
DA Pulleys
FSA SuperPro Chainrings 53/39
DT Hub

Summary:
This chain is junk. If you can get one for super cheap, then by all means. This bad boy is pretty inflexible, so it shifts like a brick, and then, right when you begin asking yourself why you didn't stick with that lovely DA stuff, you find it's stretched to .75, and replace it anyway. Oh well, stick to wheels, Mavic.

Strengths:
Quite light
Easy to maintain
Runs quiet for first 500mi

Weaknesses:
Very inflexible
Low lifespan

Price Paid:  $38.00 at Excel

Favorite Ride:
Any time its dry

Bike Setup:
Litespeed Vortex Campy Record 10 Spd.

Summary:
This review is for the Mavic Nickel plated 10 speed chain (made by Wipperman).

Used chain for about one month (1000 miles). Chain worked great up until about 900 miles when it started jumping in my 11. By the way I changed the cassette at the same time. I’m very disappointed in the performance of this chain. I was hoping to get around 3000 miles out of it. Replaced it with a stainless Wipperman, laid the two out to get a measurement so that I could get the right length on the new one. At that time I noticed that the Mavic chain had stretched about a third of one link over the length of the chain. Would not recommend this chain to someone that rides a lot of miles.

Strengths:
don't seem to be any

Weaknesses:
won't last very long

Similar Products Used:
Wipperman Stainless Steel 10

Price Paid:  $35.00 at Auburn Bicycle Empor

Favorite Ride:
Anytime it's dry

Bike Setup:
Colnago MXL, Campy Chorus/Record mix

Summary:
This review is for the Mavic Nickel plated 10 speed chain (made by Wipperman).

Bad luck with this chain. It worked well until it had about 600 miles then it started to jump around and shift funny.

It's teflon coated so when the teflon wears off it does'nt run as smooth.

I pulled it off and replaced it with a Wipperman stainless steel 10 (they did not have any in stock so I went with a Mavic). The stainless steel is a better chain.

Strengths:
Price, Connex link makes it easy to remove your chain. Kinda tricky to install the first time around. But once you have the hang of it, it's a no brainer.

Weaknesses:
Does not last long. I heard bad stuff about the Wipperman nickel chain (one and the same). Safe your money.
