Description The CN-6600 chain is lighter. Its carefully profiled links ensure nearly silent performance and quick, precise shifts unders the most arduous racing conditions and pedaling loads.
Bike Setup: 2006 Orbea Orca with Ultegra shifters, brakes, and cassette, FA compact crank.
Summary: The chain is light weight and shifts well. Not as long lived as 8 speed. Has a tendency to make a ticking sound. My first chain lasted for 1900 miles, but ticked a lot. The current chain has almost 1600 miles on it and just stated ticking when I pedal. I keep it clean and check wear with a Park chain tool.
Strengths: Shifts well and is light weight.
Weaknesses: Tends to make a ticking sound. My current chain did this after 30 miles until I lubed it, then was quiet until now--about 1600 miles.

Favorite Ride: Anything with smooth roads and few stops.
Bike Setup: Fetish Cycles Penna, Full Ultegra
Summary: This chain ran fairly smooth and quick for a while but after about 1500 miles you could tell it was stretched a bit. The real problem came when I swapped my frame and tried to use this chain again. It immediately started to creak and moan everytime I put some force on it.
Strengths: smooth shiftin
Weaknesses: short life, not durable, Near impossible to repin onto after taking out a pin.

Bike Setup: Cannondale R1000, full Ultegra w/ Travativ cranks.
Summary: Chain broke on fourth ride when I stood (in a low gear) to leave a stoplight. First time in 30+ years of road riding that I have had that happen. Chain tore up seat and chain stays and broke the rear derailleur.
Strengths: None.
Weaknesses: The chain!

Summary: Crap. Second Ultegra 10spd chain for me, the first came with the bike and was shot in 630kms (390mi). Second chain lasted 1160kms (720mi). My 9spd chains were lasting 3000+kms with the same treatment. I keep my chains clean and check with the aluminum side of the checker. I hope there is a longer lasting alternative, I can't afford to buy a new chain every month. Reminds me of the pain going from 8spd to 9spd on my mountain bike, not an upgrade at all, but a step backward.
Strengths: Shifts smoothly and runs quietly.
Weaknesses: Wears far too fast.
Similar Products Used: 8spd and 9pd Shimano and SRAM chains.
