Price Paid:  $50.00

Favorite Ride:
challenging

Bike Setup:
Surly Cross check, Sram Rival drive train.

Summary:
Garbage, and pricey too. I used this product on my cyclocross bike for 4 weeks/1000 miles and it broke twice. Need I say more? I've ordered a low end chain to replace it for the off season.

Strengths:
It says SRAM on the box.

Weaknesses:
Several of its links.

Price Paid:  $50.00 at Internet_Nashbar

Favorite Ride:
Hotter n/ Hell 100

Bike Setup:
Trek carbon 5200, 60cm, Michelon Krylion 700x25, Specialized seat, DA 180mm double crank/fr derailleur, 1cm ext on stearing tube, DA pedals, Ultegra 10 sp rear

Summary:
After 2800 miles on the road, my stock Shimano chain was getting a little stretched out according to my Park Tools gauge. Decided to go with the SRAM 1070 due to overall good SRAM chain reviews. Could have went w/ the SRAM 1090, but why spend more bucks for chain plates cut like Swiss cheese? Well I unceremoniously cut the old chain off and installed the 1070 w/ SRAM PowerLink (P_Link design seems very rugged and practical). With 200 miles on the new chain it is working perfectly. The old Shimano chain the shifting was silky smooth; after installing the new SRAM shifting is silky smooth X2.

Strengths:
Very easy to install w/ PowerLink master. Shifts super smooth.

Weaknesses:
None to date. Expect this thing to be good for 3000 or so miles...
