Strengths: -Incredible durability
-Fairly light @256g w/ 105 links
-Power Link connection is the BEST
-Smooth shifts EVERY TIME(MTB/Road)
-Nickel inner and outer plates
Weaknesses: What???Bottom Line: This SRAM PC-991 Hollowpin 9-speed chain started out life on my hardtail MTB. Over 2.5 years, I put nearly 4700 off-road miles on this chain and it NEVER chainsucked or separated on me.
Granted, I take meticulous care of my parts and never power shifts out of the saddle. This chain still operates flawlessly at nearly 0.75 wear and it is now "finishing" its life on my Cannondale CAAD 9/7...until I go full Dura Ace 10sp.
Not even the new SRAM PC-1090 narrow chain can last this long...we'll see!
