at Local bike Shop Bike Setup: Eddie Merckx Race. Mixed bag of 9spd Record, Chorus, Centaur, Veloce, and Zonda. Summary: Have to agree with the previous review about the rotational drag. I know it may not be a problem for some but it's still noticeable. I had no trouble installing and maintaining this crankset myself with only one special tool for the BB bearing cups. The rings did wear rather quickly. What else can be said about a crankset? As I remember it was reasonably priced. Strengths: Stiff. Pretty. Campagnolo. Weaknesses: The center bolt has a non-removeable washer that broke into half dozen pieces. From that point on the cranks kept falling apart. Loctite wouldn't even hold it together. The bike is at the shop to be evaluated and hopefully the problem will be fixed. Similar Products Used: Ultegra

Price Paid:
$0.00 Favorite Ride: Canyon Ultimate CF Summary: I was very curious about the new UT campy cranksets. I had to wait a while to get one, but the wait has been worth it. The bottom bracket cups have the same threading as Shimano, SRAM, and FSA, so no issues there. The crank itself was simplicity itself to install and get rolling on. The crank itself doesn't spin as freely as the old square taper, but certainly not stuck in molasses. Whatever slight loss from friction there is, is more than made up for the tough reliability of this crank. The crank itself is stiff and responsive, and you can literally tear up the crank with no issues going up hill or in a sprint. I'd have to say this is probably the top allow crank on the market, barring Dura Ace. Strengths: Stiff, responsive, easy to istall and maintain. Weaknesses: Could be lighter.
