    Strengths:    Light... Fancy carbon...

Weaknesses:    Very poor quality. $265 for nothing, not even my broken crankarms. Do not buy FSA until they improve quality, or at least show that they're not going bankrupt.

    Bottom Line:
I bought these arms and after only two months they started slipping. At first it was just an odd feeling, but within hours it became a dangerous jerking when I'd apply pressure to a pedal.

The LBS tried to fix it, but couldn't. They sent them back to FSA one month ago. Since that time, I've heard that FSA is swamped with warranty problems. (they even have a warranty button at the top of their webpage) FSA won't return my crankarms; they won't return my phone calls; they won't return my emails. Not only this, they won't even respond to the bike shop. Not even their sales department will pick up the phone right now. I'm out $265 plus tax.

Today, the LBS told me that my best bet is to buy a set from Shimano or similar. They don't expect to see my crankarms anytime soon.

Strengths:    Looks. Light. Shifting considering big jump of 16 teeth.

Weaknesses:    Chain rubs when on the 34 and the lower half of the cassette! I've spaced out the BB, but still. THere is a reason no other manafacture makes a crank with a 16 too difference. Chain rub makes many gears unusable. It's for sale if you live in the bay area. 19 miles of use.

    Bottom Line:
Review of COMPACT CRANK 50-34 tooth. Pretty. Chainrings shift well. Light. Innovative.

    Strengths:    shifting. stiffness. looks.

    Weaknesses:    none

    Bottom Line:
I’ve had these cranks about 3 months now and I’ve been very satisfied with the performance. The shifting has been exceptional. I love the stiffness quality especially when cranking out of the saddle. You can’t beat $250 bucks for a set of top quality carbon cranks. The Q factor is not an issue at all – at least not for me anyways since I also ride dirt and used to the wider spaced cranks.

Strengths:    Strong, stiff, light, well made, well designed. Shifting is awesome. These guys know how to make chainrings. Reasonable price.

    Weaknesses:    Have not encountered any.

    Bottom Line:
As a manufacturer, I know I should not be posting a review, but I had to on this product. I am always somewhat skeptical about carbon, but when I recieved the first crankset, I was sold. Very well engineered...which is more than you can say about most of what the bike industry tries to sell you these days. This is a great product for racers and recreational riders.
