Strengths:    cost is low, strength and stiffness is high, quality of c-rings is high, value is joyful

Weaknesses:    get thicker, beefier crankbolts. with the stock "lightweight bolts, the crankarms go loose with riding, even when loctited. my bolt snapped eventuall since i kept tightening it up. get thicker bolts. other than that i havent found any other weaknesses yet

    Bottom Line:
simply stiff, got it with shizmano splines because i prefer shizmano bb's over isis systems. black gloss is wicked cool. c-rings aluminum and machined very well for shifting and slicing calves. very stiff arms for great power transfer. no creak, no seperate spider to go loose and creeeaaakk. quite a bargain when looking at cranks for a cross bike.

    Strengths:    Stiffness, value, performance.

Weaknesses:    None when measured against cost; for more money you get less weight, more stiffness, etc.

    Bottom Line:
Great crankset for the money. Replaced a truvativ that was wrecked when I was hit by a car, and the FSA is clearly stiffer. Shifts cleanly, FSA rings are really nicely made and the 48-38 chainring selection is sensible. Nice looks, if unremarkable.

Strengths:    Great fit and finish, especially at this price.

    Reasonably light weight

    Stiff

    Good looking

10 year warranty on cranks, 2 on BB

Weaknesses:    Can't really think of one

    Bottom Line:
Excellent cranks for the money. I work at the LBS and decided to build myself an all around bike out of a Surly Cross Check frame. I chose these cranks and a FSA Platinum Pro BB. No problems at all. Easy install and they've worked great since. No noise at all.
