Strengths: low weight, smooth ceramic bearings, stiff, great looksWeaknesses: none so farBottom Line: I bought this crankset (53/39) to replace the 4ZA crankset I was running with Gebhardt rings (51/36). While I loved the 51/36 combination, the Gebhardt rings were a pain in the a**, the chain was getting dropped when backpedalling and sometimes also when shifting. The Fulcrum crankset was an instant upgrade - the weight was 699 g (as opposed to the 825 g of the 4ZA crankset}, it was noticeably stiffer, and, best of all, the chain simply stayed on the rings irrespective of shifting or backpedalling. The ceramic bearings required some care but dissasebly of the crankset is easy, and cleaning and oiling the bearings can be done in a couple of minutes. The bearings then roll extremely smoothly. After a year of using this crankset (~7000 km) it still looks like new, so the durability is good.
Favorite Ride: climbs
