at Goodleys Favorite Ride: Any Bike Setup: CoMotion, Ultegra, Hadley hubs, Thomson posts, Velocity rims, Roly Poly tires. Summary: I nearly paid more for a more upscale set of cranks, but I decided against it. Good decision as these are a great set of cranks. Same chainrings as on my expensive FSA double carbon cranks and nearly as good looking. There may be some flex, but on a tandem its awfully hard to notice it. Strengths: They look great and seem to be very well made. They installed without a glitch. I opted for the octalink version. The Shimano cranks are 39/53 while the FSAs have a more useful 39/54. Weaknesses: The only weakness is the need to use a washer between the crank and the pedals. This seems a little low end. Its inconvenient because I switch pedals with my road bike frequently. Similar Products Used: Shimano DA, Campy Record and FSA road cranks. All doubles.
